Life after lockdown Jar
Like many people, our holiday abroad has been cancelled due to COVID-19, we knew deep down that we wouldn’t be going and with pretty much everything else closed at the moment, day to day life with our little Ella is a quite different.
An idea we had was to put all the things we’d love to do once lockdown is over into a jar and pick one out every once in a while to have something to look forward to.
In pictures below, we’ve included everything we wrote down which is now sitting in a jar waiting for us. In sharing these we thought it might be a nice place for others to take inspiration and a good idea for you to have a go and share with us too?
We’ll update each activity with a little post below when we’ve done them.
So here goes!
What we have ticked off so far…
So far we have been to Port Lympne Zoo and Wingham Wildlife Park which you can find all out about on our Instagram page
National Trust Picnics
We have visited so many of these in the last few weeks as the weather has been so lovely, Ella absolutely loves exploring the grounds of the beautiful castles and having a picnic too! So far we have visited Bodiam Castle, Ightham Mote, Sissinghurst Castle and Scotney Castle.

Coffee date with mummas
Jeez this was needed! My friends and I have now been brave enough to go to coffee shops and get a takeaway Starbucks for our walks which is so lovely and feels like something different from having a boring cup of tea at home during lockdown
We still have lots more on our list for this year incuding another trip to Centre Parcs like we did earlier on in the year and getting back into swimming with Ella now that pools are open.
Where have you been recently that you’ve loved?
